I’m not dead!
Well, it looks like we’ve survived another hurricane. Frances knocked out the power at about 10:00 Saturday night, and we’ve been suffering and sweating since then. I have to say we were lucky, though, because that was our only problem. Our biggest worry was making sure the food in the refrigerator and the freezer didn’t spoil.
I’m taking it easy this time around. Last time, I was running around trying to make sure everyone I knew was okay. This time, I’ve called those I can call. Hurt my knee a day or two before the storm hit, so I’m not going to overdo it now. Sitting on my arse is good. *grin*
So, now I’m off to play video games with Charlie. He was staying at his mother’s house, which is just down the street from us. They just got power back as well, though we’re not sure if Charlie’s apartment is up and running yet.
I hope everyone else in Frances’ path is as lucky as we were. Best wishes to all of you.
